Climate Change, Endogenous Growth and Time-Inconsistency

Presenter: Carles Mañó-Cabello (KU Leuven)
Biography: Carles Mañó-Cabello is an FWO Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Economics at KU Leuven. He obtained his PhD from the University of Barcelona, following academic training at the Toulouse School of Economics, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and the University of Valencia. His research focuses on the intersection of environmental and natural resource economics, dynamic game theory, and macroeconomics. Specifically, he investigates endogenous growth models, the management of finite resources, and the economic implications of climate change. His methodological approach utilises dynamic programming techniques, including optimal control theory and differential games. In addition to his research activities, Carles is a member of the Executive Board of the International Society of Dynamic Games (ISDG) and contributes to the organisation of the Spanish-Portuguese Association…
