Presenter: Bart Vermang (UHasselt and imec, both partners of EnergyVille)

Biography: Bart Vermang is Full Professor at Hasselt University and Programme Manager of the PV Technology & Energy Systems group at imo-imomec, a joint research institute of UHasselt and imec. He earned his MSc in Physics from Ghent University and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven, later conducting postdoctoral research at Uppsala University (Sweden) and imec (Belgium). Renowned for his expertise in photovoltaics, thin-film solar cells, and renewable energy systems, Bart has coordinated major European projects such as SWInG and PERCISTAND, and was awarded an ERC Starting Grant in 2016.
