Climate Cookies & Coffee Seminars

The Belgian Climate Centre invites researchers to present their work at our Climate Cookies & Coffee scientific seminar series. This is a unique opportunity to share your recent findings, connect with peers, and foster collaboration across institutions and disciplines in an engaging and informal setting.

What is Climate Cookies & Coffee?

Climate Cookies & Coffee is a series of short scientific seminars designed to provide a platform for both early-career and senior scientists. These hybrid events are held at the Belgian Climate Centre's premises in Brussels and streamed online, making them accessible to a wide audience. Seminar Format

Each session will typically last between 1.5 to 2 hours and can feature either a single 45-minute scientific talk or multiple shorter presentations. All presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and open discussion. We aim to create an environment where presenters and attendees can engage in meaningful dialogue, identify knowledge gaps, and explore potential collaborations—all while enjoying cookies, coffee, tea, and water.

Speakers have the freedom to shape their presentations as they wish, focusing on recent research results and publications. The Belgian Climate Centre will provide logistical support.

Research Domains

Presentations should align with one or more of the Centre's four key research domains:

  • Physical Climate

  • Land and Water

  • Technology

  • Society
