The Belgian Climate Centre is organising a new seminar of the Climate Cookies & Coffee series:
Children are disproportionately exposed to humid heat stress attributable to anthropogenic climate change.
Presenter: Rosa Pietroiusti (Vrije Universiteit Brussel)

Biography: Rosa Pietroiusti is a PhD researcher in the BCLIMATE group at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her research investigates the attribution and projection of climate extremes and population exposure to climate hazards, with a focus on what climate change means for different generations. She has worked on attributing extreme events such as floods and heat stress to climate change, as well as on projections of fire-prone weather conditions in Europe. Rosa also collaborates on interdisciplinary projects exploring how climate change affects vector-borne diseases and educational outcomes, and how climate science can inform legal contexts.
