The Belgian Climate Centre (BCC) is looking for a French-speaking Legal and Public Procurement Expert to provide cross-cutting legal and financial support to the Centre's direction and project teams.


The role


As Legal and Public Procurement Expert, you will guide colleagues through the identification of appropriate spending mechanisms, applicable public procurement procedures and the most suitable contractual arrangements, within the legal framework and internal procedures of the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (RMI). You will support project teams in structuring their needs, preparing tender specifications, defining award criteria and ensuring dossiers are complete before they enter the RMI's institutional approval channels. You will also advise on various forms of public expenditure and external collaboration, including subsidies, direct investments, sponsorship, licensing fees and partnership costs. Where necessary, you will provide legal counsel in judicial proceedings and liaise with external lawyers.


Profile


Candidates hold a master's degree in law and bring at least two years of professional experience in legal advisory work or public procurement. This position is open to French-speaking candidates.
